I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

“Find Me.” These are the words written on Tessa Waye’s diary. The diary that ends up with Wick Tate. But Tessa’s just been found . . . dead. Wick has the right computer-hacking skills for the job, but little interest in this perverse game of hide-and-seek. Until her sister Lily is the next target. Then Griff, trailer-park boy next door and fellow hacker, shows up, intent on helping Wick. Is a happy ending possible with the threat of Wick’s deadbeat dad returning, the detective hunting him sniffing around Wick instead, and a killer taunting her at every step? Foster child. Daughter of a felon. Loner hacker girl. Wick has a bad attitude and sarcasm to spare. But she’s going to find this killer no matter what. Because it just got personal. [goodreads]

Find Me is a solid debut novel by Romily Bernard. The story kicks off with the mystery of Tessa Waye's death which was ruled as a suicide until Tessa's diary lands in the hands of Wick with a post-it with the words "Find Me". From then on everything in this books just escalates with each passing page that I ended up finishing it in one day.

Wick is a character that I've been waiting for. She's a hacker with a complicated history of being the daughter of a felon. A reason why I loved reading though her point of view was her constant stream of analyzing every situation. I also found her entertaining with her armor of sarcasm and pessimism. Although Wick may come off as cold, she has a soft spot for her younger sister, Lily. The two sisters have a great relationship, and I loved how they balanced each other. Almost every decision Wick made was for her sister's benefit. She would have ignored Tessa's case if not for realizing that Lily may suffer the same fate as Tessa.

Now lets talk about Griff. When I was first introduced to Griff I thought that he had that boy next door quality. And I was partially wrong since Griff was actually revealed to be a fellow hacker. I loved how Griff easily fit into the story and how he played off of Wick's character. And the romance was nicely written since it wasn't overwhelming. The only problem I had was that I wanted more of Griff and his history. He seems as though he'd have a great back story from what little I've read of him.

My initial reaction after finishing the story was, "well that escalated quickly." The intensity of the story continuously built with each clue Wick gathered. I would have liked to have the story be a bit longer to delve into some of the details in the story, but the information given was enough to keep me hooked to the end.

Overall, I most definitely enjoyed Find Me with its fast paced story and intriguing character. I'm not certain if there will be a sequel, but I'll be excited if there will be. Find Me is a great debut and I look forward to more work by Romily Bernard.
