Banned Books Week

Sunday, September 25, 2011
It is Banned Books Week and it will be running from September 24 - October 1.

Since it is Banned Books Week it is giving me ANOTHER reason for me to go pick The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephan Chboskey.

Caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it, Charlie is navigating through the strange worlds of love, drugs, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", and dealing with the loss of a good friend and his favorite aunt.

It is also another reason for me to wear my "I Read Banned Books" button on my school bag.

*Apologies for the blurry image!*

For more information of Banned Books Week be sure to visit ALA and there's even a website this year, Banned Books Week.

  2. I LOVED The Perks of Being A Wallflower when I read it in college. I'm reading The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian for Banned Books week. I kind of want to make it Banned Books rest-of-the-year, you know?
