Armchair BEA: Relationships

Thursday, May 26, 2011
It is BEA/BBC week! Since I won't be attending the actual event I'm participating in Armchair BEA! (For more information please visit Armchair BEA) This week will be full of fun posts all over different book blogs.
Armchair BEA - Day #3:
Nurturing Relationships

For the three months that I've been blogging I've learned a whole lot! And all I've learned are thanks to those very kind bloggers who, may not not know it or not, have helped more than they'd think. Since I'm still new I haven't made a solid relationship with authors and publishers but I do wish that one day I will. I have been contacted by authors to review books and I do find myself liking the emails that show that they have spent some time looking at my blog before requesting. I really appreciate when they do stop by my policy page before contacting me. Even though I haven't formed relationships with authors or publishers, I did get the chance to talk to some awesome bloggers.

Here are some bloggers who I'd like to give a shout out to:
(Please don't feel left out if you're not in this list! These are only the few of the many of bloggers.)

Bonnie @ A Backwards Story:
When I first started Tweeting, Bonnie was there to help me into the world of Twitter. (Which I frequent now so feel free to check it out @VysBlog.) It's also thanks to Bonnie that I've sold the idea of getting a Nook to my parents.

Gemma @ I/You/We Heart Books!:
Gemma is just an all around awesome person. I haven't known her for long but it's neat talking to bloggers around the same age group. Which is kind of hard to find.

Jennifer @ Little Shelf:
She has one of the cutest blogs and the first Oregonian blogger I knew about. How could someone be more awesome than being in the same state?

Cyndi @ Dog-Eared and Bookmarked:
Thank goodness for Cyndi who has helped me out with almost every possible question I had. Although she has helped me out with almost everything blog related she has also helped me with any question. I even asked her a homework related question around 11 pm. (which I did very well on thanks to her.)

Christy @ The Reader Bee:
When I first started blogging I used her as a reference! I don't think I've ever told her but she's helped so much and an inspiration. She's also really sweet about commenting :)

My list could go on for days but this is a quick sum up. I found that I find most blogs through memes which I think is a great way to meet new bloggers. I'm always looking forward to those meme posts and hope to continue finding even more great blogs that way.

Please feel free to leave a link to your Armchair BEA post with your comments so I could stop by.

  7. Great list of blogs and bloggers.

Rather than talk about bookstores, publishers or bloggers, I'm talking about volunteering. Come see what I mean.
