"Blog Break"

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

I feel like I haven't been giving it my best in blogging and I don't want to continue to post crappy reviews because of lack of time. I originally planned on posting all the reviews I've written this week, but I don't have the time right now and I'd rather wait it off until May. Starting off a new month with a better plan sounds way better than ending a month by trying to cram everything in. I've been reading a lot about how some bloggers just take a break when blogging becomes a "job" or "chore" and I don't like that feeling. I know there isn't a lot of days left in April but I haven't been posting much of anything lately and just wanted to post a heads up.

Coming up in May:
-Review of Radiant Shadows by Melissa Marr
-Review of Awakened by PC + Kristin Cast
-Review of The Magnolia League by Crouch
-Review of Girl Wonder by Alexa Martin
-Review of Mercy by Rebecca Lim
And More Stuff....

I felt like it was becoming a chore to blog instead of doing it as a hobby.
Do you ever feel like that? What did you do to make it fun again?

  1. Don't quit blogging! I have felt like it's a job, and then I just get my blog posts submitted talk on twitter and it's all better. But if you take to long a break you have a risk of not resuming and if you enjoy it then you shouldn't quit!

  3. aha! that's why it seems i've been missing you! well, i have been just fairly starting... i put up my first post last march and it hasn't been tiresome yet... but i imagine that if ever i come to a point that i need to get the passion back, what i'll do is get the inspiration to do it again - pick up a very wonderful book that will inspire you to write about it! just my two cents. :)

  4. Hey, if you feel like you need to take a break, then do it! I don't see anything wrong with that at all.

I just started blogging, so I haven't gotten tired of it yet. I know it will happen eventually! I'm doing this for myself and I just keep reminding myself of that. So, if I don't feel like posting, I don't. Sometimes I don't do Waiting on Wednesday (or whatever).

Do it when it feel fun! We'll still be here. :)

Oh, and I'm wondering if they are going to make us buy books at the dark days of supernatural like they did last time. I hope not! That's too many books to pay for full price at once, you know?
